MARION, Ill. (AP) -- Police say a southern Illinois woman who was wounded in a domestic shooting two years ago has been found dead inside the same home.
Marion police investigators say they found the body of 37-year-old Tina Pickens late Wednesday after someone reported she hadn't shown up for work.
Investigators didn't reveal the cause of death. Coroner Mike Burke on Friday declined to discuss the findings of the previous day's autopsy, saying that information has been turned over to prosecutors and police.
Police say her death is unrelated to violence in the home in September 2008, when her then-husband Harry Schauf Jr. shot Pickens and wounded a Marion officer who responded.
Schauf was convicted a year ago of aggravated battery and is serving a 50-year prison term.
