ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV) – At least one person was injured in a two-alarm fire that swept through a St. Charles condominium complex early Monday morning.

Crews responded to the 1700 block of S. Wisteria Drive shortly before 6 a.m. after smoke could be seen billowing from one unit of the Sherman Oaks condominium complex.

Authorities say one woman was burned in the fire. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment, though the extent of her injuries was not immediately known.

Crews worked to contain the fire in the one unit and prevent the flames from spreading to other nearby units.

One building was evacuated by firefighters, although no other injuries were reported.

Red Cross volunteers responded to the scene and were working with those affected by the fire to determine what they needed. Volunteers were also providing drinks and food to authorities.

Authorities said they were still investigating the cause of the blaze.
