(KMOV) -- Authorities are trying to determine what killed a 26-year-old woman who was found dead outside of a home care facility in Winfield, Missouri on Monday.
Police were called to the Sunshine Home Care facility at 499 W. Walnut Street after a nurse found an unconscious woman outside sometime between 12:30 and 1:00 a.m.
The Major Case Squad was called to the scene as a precaution. Officials have identified the woman as Theresse Bohnenstiehl, from Winfield, Missouri. Bohnenstiehl is originally from Defiance, Missouri.
Investigators have not determined how Bohnenstiehl died. Officials will not say if they suspect foul play in her death or if she died of natural causes.
