(KMOV) – Police are using surveillance footage to investigate the death of a woman found outside a Festus medical building Monday morning.
According t o police, a 64-year-old woman from Pevely traveled down Highway 61/67 to the International Pain Institute at approximately 2 a.m. where she parked and sat in her car for nearly three hours.
At approximately 5 a.m. she got out of the vehicle and lay on the ground in front of the building.
Employees of the International Pain Institute started to arrive about two hours later to find the woman unresponsive.
She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. No signs of trauma were reported.
An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death. Her identify has not been released pending the notification of the next of kin.
The investigation is ongoing.
