BUNKER HILL, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A 31-year-old woman is dead after her car struck a utility pole during Thursday afternoon's winter storm.

Police arrived on Rust Road in Bunker Hill around 3:30 p.m. where they found the woman had been ejected from her vehicle. The officer administered lifesaving measures while waiting for EMS to arrive.

Reports say EMS arrived at 3:54 p.m. then continued lifesaving measures, and called for the Arch medical helicopter. Due to the extreme weather conditions, the helicopter could not fly.

Police say Erin Katherine Jarman, 31, died at the scene. They believe that ice covered roads and heavy winds contributed to Jarman's car rolling over and hitting a utility pole.

Jarman is from Houston, Missouri and police say she was in town to visit relatives in the area.
