(KMOV) – A woman faces charges after police say she attempted to return items to a Kirkwood store using forged documents.

Gwendolyn Lockhart, 41, was charged with eight counts of forgery.

According to police, Lockhart went to the store in the 1200 block of S. Kirkwood Rd. on Dec. 12 and tried to return the items using a fake temporary state ID.

Police say she was later connected to seven other forgery incidents. Three of them were in Kirkwood, with the remaining four in unincorporated St. Louis County.

Lockhart was arrested and transferred to the St. Louis County Jail.
