BRIDGETON, Mo. (KMOV) – A Bridgeton woman is accused of cooking meth in the same house her children lived with her.
Janice Williams, 39, was charged December 5 with first-degree drug trafficking, first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture meth, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and manufacturing meth.
Police said officers went to her home in the 3900 block of Falcon Avenue in response to a disturbance on June 9, 2011. Authorities said officers entered the house and smelled an odor associated with cooking meth.
Officers searched the home and found a bag with liquid and more than 220 grams of powder.
According to police, multiple children under 17 years old lived at the home.
Williams was arrested Tuesday and taken into custody, where she remains in St. Louis County jail on $50,000 bail.
