(KMOV) -- Police are investigating a bank robbery in south St. Louis.

It happened on Monday around 9:15 a.m. at the Southern Commercial Bank in the 4900 block of Gravois.

Witnesses say that a black man wearing a St. Louis Rams jersey handed the teller a note threatening to shoot her if she didn't hand over money.

The suspect never showed a weapon.

A witness tells News 4 that she saw a man at the counter, but didn’t pay any attention to him until he left the bank. That’s when a teller started yelling, “We’ve been robbed.”

Police are not releasing many other details at this time. The FBI is investigating, but they have not released any information about the robbery or the suspect in this case.
