ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) -- Flights across the country have already been delayed or canceled due to the inclement weather promised to hammer the Midwest.
Travelers at Lambert cannot just focus on the weather in St. Louis. Major hubs like Chicago are expected to get the wintry blast which could start a chain reaction of back-ups across the country.
Southwest has cancelled several evening flights in and out of Chicago for Thursday.
Luckily, airlines are offering some good news to counteract the bad weather. Many airlines like American, Southwest, United and US Airways are offering what they call “flexible rebooking policies.” Essentially, airlines are waiving the fees to give passengers the opportunity to change or rebook their flights.
