(KMOV) -- A Wentzville woman has been sentenced in connection with the death of her 14-month-old son in April 2013.

Stacey Yeager, 35, of the 400 block of Kent Drive, has been sentenced to five years in prison. She pleaded no contest to four felony charges of child endangerment and will receive credit for time already served. She was originally sentenced to five years on each count but her sentence was suspended on three of the counts.

Yeager’s son, Elijah, died due to blunt force trauma to the head, according to the medical examiner.

Police say Yeager caused serious physical harm to her son by allowing his father to care for him even though he has a history of violence and drug abuse. Police say she also provided them with false information regarding her son’s abuse.
