(KMOV) -- Missouri welfare recipients could be banned from casinos with a new proposed bill.
State Senator Rob Shaaf proposed a bill which would keep anyone who receives public assistance from gambling in Missouri.
The bill would require the Department of Social Services to provide a list of those receiving public aid to local casinos. The list would then prohibit casinos from granting entrance to the recipients.
Other senators say the bill is giving too much government control on how a person spends their money.
