(KMOV.com) -- Men across St. Louis are teaming up to show positive role models to young people across the area this weekend.

On Saturday, St. Louis Emerging 100 and the 100 Black Men of St. Louis, along with other area organizations, are sponsoring the ‘What is Cool’ conference at Vashon High School.

Organizers said they hope the conference helps teens make realistic choices that will lead to a positive and successful lives.

“There’s not a lot of mentoring programs that are available,” said organizer Timothy Moore, “So we’re trying to come in and make sure we can show them the ropes to let them know there is a positive future for anyone out there.”
