Suspect confessed to shooting teen in Castle Point neighborhood

(KMOV) –St. Louis County Police say a 21-year-old man confessed to the shooting death of a teen in the Castle Point neighborhood on Monday night. 

On Tuesday, authorities charged Kyhree Davis, 21, with second-degree murder, shooting at a building from a vehicle, and armed criminal action.

Authorities said several shots were fired from a passing vehicle into a home in the 10400 block of Duke around 10 p.m on Monday.

Tavelle Coleman, 17, was struck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Coleman lived a few blocks from the scene, according to police.

Seven other people were inside the home when the shooting occurred.
