(KMOV.com) – A 21-year-old University City man has been charged after police say he robbed a man who was looking to buy a handgun.
According to reports, Wesley Hughes has been charged with first-degree robbery.
Police said a man arrived at Hughes’ home on Monday with the intention of buying a weapon. As the two met, Hughes pulled out something that looked like a gun and robbed the victim of his cell phone.
Hughes was later taken into custody. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.
