(KMOV) – For the first time, the latest victim of the “knockout game” met the man who helped him after the attack, Mayor Francis Slay.

The mayor found Matt Quain moments after a group of teens attacked him on South Grand.

The two met in person on Wednesday at a fundraiser to help Matt pay for his medical bills and recovery.

Two weeks ago, he was attacked while walking home from the grocery store. He suffered a broken jaw, which is now wired shut.

Seven suspects, all 13 and 14 years old, have been arrested for the attack.
