HAZELWOOD, Mo (KMOV.com) – Police say two children were hurt after a day car facility’s van crashed into the building in Hazelwood on Tuesday.
Police said the incident happened at Tender Care Learning Center in the 400 block of Candlelight Lane.
According to police, a 54-year-old female employee of Tender Care was driving a company van when the accident happened.
Two girls, both 6 years old, were hurt after being struck by falling debris inside the building.
According to the employee, she backed into a parked car in the lot, and when she pulled forward, her brakes failed, causing her to crash into a building.
While injuries were not considered serious, one of the children was taken by her parents to the hospital as a precaution.
Tender Care Learning Center accepts children from age two to age 12.
