Unidentified delivery driver accused of groping woman at local business

(KMOV) – Police in Shrewsbury are searching for a driver accused of inappropriately touching a female while making a delivery.

According to the complaint, the delivery driver went to a business in the 7200 block of Watson Rd. and touched an employee inappropriately. Police say it was not a sexual assault.

Investigators have yet to identify the actual driver or the delivery company, but police say the accused driver was a stranger to the business.

The victim’s company reported the incident to police after doing its own investigation of the incident.

Police want to talk to talk to the driver involved in theunusual case.

"Anytime we have anyone in our community, especially those who live and work here who call and make a complaint of an assault or harassment or anything like that, we are going to take that seriously,” said Lt. Lisa Vargas of Shrewsbury Police Department.

Since police have yet to indentify the driver and he is still on the job, authorities want to make the public aware.
