ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Authorities are investigating a possible connection between two men shot and killed by St. Louis police and a rash of recent car burglaries in St. Charles County. On Wednesday, undercover St. Louis officers spotted a truck that had been reported stolen in St. Charles County. Police say two men from the truck, 26-year-old Jeremiah Henderson and 21-year-old Darrell Williams, reached for weapons. The officers fatally shot both men. The truck had been stolen from a hotel parking lot in St. Charles -- the same place where many of the 34 break-ins occurred over the weekend. Police are determining if evidence links the stolen truck to the thefts. Two others who were in the truck are in custody, and a fifth is hospitalized. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press.
