ST. CHARLES COUNTY – A 14-year-old girl allegedly stole her mother’s SUV, took it for a drive and ended up getting a speeding ticket Wednesday morning.
Police said the girl violated several juvenile citations after being pulled over just after 4 a.m.
The St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department said the black SUV was going anywhere from 10-15 mph faster than the speed limit. The deputy pulled the vehicle over at the Elm Street exit off of 370.
The deputy took the girl back to her home. The mother said she had no idea her daughter had the car.
The young girl was cited for driving without a license, speeding, failure to maintain a single lane, driving with an expired license plate and a curfew violation.
