ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- U.S. Cellular says that they will be shedding 200 jobs in St. Louis in the next couple of months.
The company is selling assets to the Sprint Nextel Corporation and the sale will eliminate local positions.
Workers for the company say that some of the employees are being offered jobs elsewhere in the company, though they are not locally located.
