(KMOV.com) -- Police are searching for a suspect after two teenage girls were shot in a south St. Louis neighborhood late Saturday night.
Officers responded to a call for medical attention near the intersection of Michigan and Miami around 3:30 a.m.
According to authorities, a 13-year-old and a 17-year-old were walking down the street when a man approached them and told the two girls not to move. Police said the teenagers fled, and the suspect fired shots at them.
Both girls were shot in the legs. They were transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
No suspect has been identified. Police said an investigation is ongoing.
