ST. LOUIS (AP) -- No one is hurt, but inspectors are examining two US Airways planes after a minor collision while de-icing at Lambert Airport in St. Louis.
Lambert director Rhonda Hamm-Niebrugge says the planes bumped Tuesday morning. No passengers were hurt and the planes were returned to the gate for inspection.
Hamm-Niebrugge says a Philadelphia-bound Embraer was preparing to de-ice when the second plane, an Airbus about to fly to Charlotte, N.C., pulled up and clipped the horizontal bar in the tail area of the Embraer.
Hamm-Niebrugge says damage appeared to be minimal. Contrary to a broadcast report, she says there was no wing damage to either plane.
