(KMOV.com) -- Two people reported feeling a shock after lightning struck at the St. Charles County fair in Wentzville, Missouri on Saturday.
The National Weather Service said lightning struck a tree in the park area around 10:45 a.m. The tree then fell on some power lines, knocking out the park's PA system. Fair officials said, shortly after the strike, two men reported that they felt a minor jolt.
One of the men was taken to the hospital to be checked out. He was treated and released. The other victim declined treatment. Authorities said both victims' injuries were considered to be extremely minor.
Some camper trailers at the park also suffered minor damage. The PA system that was knocked out during the strik was repaired within a couple hours.
No other injuries were reported.
