(KMOV) -- Two people are in the hospital after they were hit by a driver traveling the wrong direction on Interstate 64.
The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, on Interstate 64/40 at Timberlake Manor in west St. Louis County.
Police said Susan Dunakey, 50, from Chesterfield, Missouri was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of the highway when she collided head-on with another car.
The other car, driven by Darnell Warner, 23, from Hazelwood, Missouri rotated into the path of a semi-truck. The semi-truck hit the passenger side of Warner's vehicle and veered off the roadway and struck a sign.
Dunakey was taken to St. John's Mercy Medical Center and is listed in stable condition with minor injuries. Warner was also taken to St. John's. He is listed in serious condition. No word if the driver of the semi-truck sustained any injuries in the accident.
The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigation the accident.
