(KMOV.com) -- Police have identified the two drivers dead after a crash that caused a tractor-trailer to overturn near River City Casino on Saturday morning.
A witness at the scene said the tractor-trailer ran a red light and collided with a white SUV at River City Boulevard and South Broadway just before 3 a.m.
St. Louis County police said the tractor-trailer then struck two power poles, a fence and a pontoon boat. The trailer overturned, spilling beer bottles and cans across the road.
Lawrence Coleman, 56, and Matthew Barton, 29, were pronounced dead at the scene. Police say Coleman was driving the tractor-trailer at the time of the crash.
The collision knocked down several power lines, and police asked residents to stay away from the Lemay area of South Broadway from River City Boulevard to Horn Avenue. Casino customers had to use a back entrance to leave the building.
Authorities say an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
