(KMOV.com) – Officials say they have cleared the area where a train derailed in St. Louis County Monday night.
Authorities said the train, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe, was headed northbound near Reavis and Mackenzie when it derailed around 8:15 p.m.
There were no injuries and crews were trying to determine whether there was a leak. The cars were empty, but authorities said they wanted to make sure.
Reavis Road wasclosed between McKenzie and Tesson Ferry Rd. until about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
