(KMOV.com) -- In the last two weeks, four abduction attempts were made throughout the Metro area. Attempts happened in Bridgeton, Wentzville and two in Ellisville.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children estimates 58,000 children are abducted by non-relative every year.
One piece of advice is vital for parents to help children avoid 'Stranger Danger.'
St. Louis County Police officer Randy Vaughn said parents should stay alert and get involved.
Experts said don't talk to children about 'strangers,' but talk to them about adults they don't already know. experts said children don't know what a 'stranger' is.
