COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- Police have arrested three men in connection to three different home break-ins in the Collinsville area.
Police say Matthew Conrad, 24, Jason Brown, 36, and William Stough, 26 were charged Thursday in connection to these crimes.
The first break-in happened on September 12 at 6 p.m. on the 7100 block of Loyet Road. Police say the suspects took more than $6,000 worth of electronics and stereo equipment from a home. Investigators recovered $4,000 worth of the stolen property and linked Conrad and Brown to the crime.
The next break-in was September 17 around 8:20 a.m. on the 700 block of Troy Road. Police say this time, the suspects took copper pipes and wiring out of the house.
The final break-in was September 21 around 7:30 p.m. on the 800 block of Oran Avenue. The victim told police the suspects were able to get into an outbuilding on the property and steal firearms and power tools. Investigators were later able to locate all but one of the stolen firearms and some of the power tools.
Madison County Sheriff's investigators say they were able to develop enough evidence to link Conrad and Brown to all three burglaries, and Stough to the Loyet Road and Oran Avenue burglaries.
Venice Police arrested Conrad for a previous residential burglary warrant during a traffic stop on October 1. The Madison County Sheriff's Department and the Granite City Police found Brown and Stough in a motel in Granite City on October 1.
All three men were charged with felony burglary. Bond was set at $100,000 for Brown and Stough, while Conrad's bond was set at $85,0000.
