(KMOV.com) – A teacher at Confluence Preparatory Academy has been put on leave for what the school is calling “inappropriate behavior".
School officials told News 4 the allegations were brought against the teacher Friday and the teacher was then placed on leave, but the school is not providing further details.
In a statement, the district said:
We take allegations such as this seriously. An internal investigation is being conducted per confluence policies and regulations. As a personnel matter, the situation cannot be discussed. We must protect the rights of those involved. We will notify staff and parents, as allowed by law, of the outcome once the investigation is complete.
The school said it sent a letter home to parents notifying them of what is going on and have referred the matter to police.
