RIVERVIEW, Mo. (KMOV) – Teen calls police when suspects kick in the front door of his Riverview Garden house late Tuesday night.

Police say a 14-year-old boy called for help when four suspects broke into the home on the 10000 block of Diamond Drive just before midnight and started demanding cell phones.

Victims told police two of the suspects were armed with weapons; one of which was reportedly an AK-47 assault rifle.

Another teen sleeping upstairs woke up as the suspects started riffling through the house.

Authorities said one suspect hit the 14-year-old with the gun. He suffered minor injuries. He was later checked out by medical personnel on scene.

The suspects were described to police as four black males in their late teens; three of them were wearing hooded sweatshirts and jeans.

Victims said one suspect had a red bandana over his face while another used a t-shirt.

The suspects were able to obtain two cell phones, an iPod and a television before fleeing.

Further details into the investigation were not immediately released.
