ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) -- A truck driver suspected in the death of a Missouri woman whose body was found along an interstate is jailed in Florida.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 49-year-old Kent Harris was arrested Tuesday in Deerfield Beach, Fla.
The patrol says Harris, of Greenville, Miss., is a suspect in the death of Kecia King of St. Joseph. She was found severely injured Saturday on a shoulder of Interstate 29 near St. Joseph and died Sunday.
Harris is being held in Broward County jail on $100,000 bond on a charge of involuntary manslaughter. He works for Best Mark Trucking in Strong City, Kan.
The St. Joseph News-Press reports (http://bit.ly/A0Xs4H) a felony complaint indicates King died from head injuries after being pushed from a moving vehicle.
It was not immediately clear if Harris has an attorney.
