(KMOV) – A suspect faces charges after he allegedly shot a 22-year-old man to death in north St. Louis on Sunday.
Larmar Gayfield, 23, was charged Monday with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
Police say officers responded to a call for a shooting in the 1200 block of Hogan around 6:50 p.m. and were approached by Gayfield.
Authorities say Gayfield told them he had shot his friend, Ryon Lathon, in the chest, hand and back after Lathon pointed a gun at him.
Lathon was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say two guns were recovered at the scene.
Officers arrested Gayfield, who is being held in custody without bond.
