ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – Police have arrested a gunman who shot a man to death in a south St. Louis neighborhood early Wednesday morning.
Michael Miller, 35, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
According to police, Miller shot Prince Patton, 25, several times just before 1 a.m. near the intersection of Bates and Louisiana avenues.
Neighbors told officers they noticed Miller talking to Patton just before the shooting. Miller then got out a gun and fired several shots.
Patton was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said Miller drove away from the scene in a white SUV with tinted windows and illuminated running boards
A female suspect was also arrested in the case, but charges against her were refused.
