ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A 17-year-old man is facing multiple charges for his role in a carjacking in a north St. Louis neighborhood Wednesday night.

Latori Greer from Sikeston has been charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action, tampering with a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest.

On Wednesday, police said two women approached officers in the 4100 block of Kossuth to report their Pontiac Grand Prix was carjacked by multiple suspects. They said at least one suspect had a handgun.

The victims told police they were leaving a house when the suspects approached them and demanded their vehicle at gunpoint.

Three suspects fled the scene in the Grand Prix with two other suspects leaving in a Ford Mustang. No one was injured during the incident.

Officers in the area later spotted a vehicle matching the victims’ description and began to pursue it. After running the vehicle’s plate, officers learned the Mustang was reported stolen.
Police say the officers pursued the stolen car until it turned into a gated parking lot located at 4400 Floriss. Two suspects fled on foot after becoming trapped inside the parking lot.

After a quick foot chase, Greer was taken into custody. He reportedly had a 9mm handgun in his possession at the time of the arrest. All other suspects could not be located.

Authorities are actively searching for four suspects still on the run. Three of those suspects were last seen inside the stolen Grand Prix.
