ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man believed to have robbed a Cricket Wireless store in northwest St. Louis Monday morning has been captured.

Around 10:30 a.m., the suspect walked into the store at 7118 Page Boulevard and announced a robbery. An employee told News 4 the suspect put a gun to his head and demanded cash.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene. Within minutes, Pagedale officers spotted someone matching the description of the robber.

The suspect took off running after seeing police. Officers chased the man and were able to apprehend him without further incident. Police said the man was in possession of money from the Cricket Wireless store.

Authorities report the suspect is a 20-year-old male who lives in the neighborhood. His name is not yet being release pending formal charges.
