(KMOV) -- St. Louis may be starting to climb the list of travel destinations because of all the events held Labor Day weekend.

St. Louis sat behind New York and Seattle in Priceline's top 50 destinations for Labor Day weekend. The rankings are based on hotel room bookings, which Priceline said make it one of the more accurate predictors of Labor Day travel trends.

Organizers at the Big Muddy Blues Festival said they will draw an estimated 60,000 of people for the two day music festival. All of those people mean a lot of dollars for local businesses.

But the blues festival is only one of the many things going on during the weekend. More than 58,000 showed up for the last Mizzou-Illini game in the Arch Rivalry series. The Missouri Botanical Garden has hosted its annual Japanese Festival for those looking for a taste of Japanese history and culture. The Central West End played host to the Saint Nicholas Greek Fest for the 93rd time and drew thousands of people as well.

Adding to things this year was the Cardinals three-game series against the Reds which averaged more than 44,000 fans per game.
