(KMOV) --- A Granite City mother is upset with her daughter’s school and the bus company after the girl was severely beaten on the school bus.

On Wednesday, 13-year-old, Amber Tennaldo said she was punched multiple times by another girl riding the bus after school.  She is now suffering from a fractured nose and black eye.

Granite City Police said they arrested a juvenile in connection with the case.

Still, Heather Tennaldo blames the school bus driver for not keeping her daughter safe, “I’m not just upset, I’m livid.”

Illinois Central School Bus said they have suspended the driver while they investigate.
