(KMOV.com) --After surveying the damage in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood, the National Weather Service confirms an EF0 tornado touched down Wednesday night.

The tornado produced up to 85 mph winds that centered on a few blocks including Columbia Street. Residents found piles of debris strewn about and tree limbs dangling. The tornado was on the ground for a third of a mile.

At least 48 houses reported some kind of damage, with one home being condemned after the roof blew off.

Mayor Francis Slay was assessing the damage in the Hill neighborhood along with city officials on Thursday, a day after the vicious tornado swept through.

Slay says the city will see what it can do for these residents, assisting in the clean up and removal of tree branches.

No injuries were reported.

There are reports of uprooted trees on Magnolia as well.
