ST. LOUIS -- A shelter in St. Louis is being called one of the few of its kind in the Midwest—a refuge for victims of sex trafficking.

Pat Bradley opened the doors in December. He also runs trafficking shelters in Cambodia and Ethiopia.

Bradley says traffickers, smugglers and pimps sell girls on the streets of St. Louis. Some are recruited through social media.

Bradley relies on law enforcement to bring girls to the home. Five have stayed at the shelter since it opened.

The shelter has enough money to remain open for 10 months. Bradley says he’ll need donations to keep it open longer.
