ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A U.S. sailor from St. Louis was declared dead on Saturday after his helicopter crashed in the Middle East earlier this week, according to a release from the U.S. Department of Defense.
Sean Sullivan, 40, was serving as a Chief Aviation Warfare Systems Operator in northern Oman when the helicopter he was riding in crashed. Sullivan and another service member were declared dead after a search around the crash site.
The crash is remains under investigation, but officials have ruled out hostile activity.
