St. Louis jail guard charged with letting two inmates escape

ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- A jail guard at the St. Louis City Justice Center is charged with letting two inmates escape.

Mori Farrell, 51, is charged with 5 counts of forgery, 2 counts of permitting escape, and making a false declaration.

Vernon Collins and David White had gone through the ceiling, broke out a window, and used bedsheets to reach the ground.

Farrell is accused of entering fake headcount information into the computer system.

Both suspects have been caught and are back in jail.
