(KMOV) – St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson on Friday will give a full proposal to reorganize the city’s police districts.
There are currently nine districts in the city and when Dotson’s plan comes to fruition there will be six.
The current police map shows the city’s eighth police district is much smaller compared to districts two and six. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, each area will be similar in size and contain that same number of officers and commanders on the redistricting happens.
Dotson’s full proposal should go before the entire board of aldermen during a meeting at 10 a.m.
