ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – St. Louis City Police officers have officially moved into the department’s new headquarters.

The new building is located in the 1900 block of Olive and cost $13 million to buy and renovate.

Chief Sam Dotson says the open floor plan will help officers work together and ultimately help solve crime.

Not every department will be making the move to the new headquarters, the crime lab and the communications, dispatch, center will stay at the Clark Street building.
