(KMOV) – St. Louis native Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the archbishop of New York, will be in Maplewood this weekend to celebrate Sunday mass.
Dolan will perform the 9:30 mass at Immaculate Conception Church.
He will also speak Saturday at the Peabody Opera House for the Catholic Men for Christ Event.
Dolan grew up in a ranch house in Ballwin and attended Holy Infants parish before joining the seminary. He became priest in 1976 at the age of 26 and quickly rose through the ranks of the church, becoming head of the Milwaukee Archdiocese in 2002 and Archbishop of New York in 2009.
He was elevated to the College of Cardinals about two years ago.
