St. Louis man hits Collinsville Police Car, flees scene on foot

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOV) -- The Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Friday Steven Randall Crook for Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer.

According to police, Crook, 40, of St. Louis, caused a traffic collision March 3 with a Collinsville Police vehicle on I-55/70, and fled the scene on foot to avoid being arrested.
 
Crook was later located by police and arrested an hour later, and is currently being held at the Collinsville Police Department, pending $10,000.00 bond or transport to the Madison County Jail.
 
Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer is a Class 4 Felony.
