(KMOV) – The city of St. Louis will soon begin enforcing downtown parking meters on Saturdays.
According to city officials, all downtown drivers will be required to pay for using parking meters on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning July 1.
The Parking Commission of the City of St. Louis voted unanimously to change the policy during a monthly meeting held on May 9.
Officials said police will issue warning notices during the first two July weekends so drivers can get adjusted.
Downtown parking meters are currently only enforced Monday through Friday.
