(KMOV.com) – Beginning Wednesday, visitors at the St. Louis Science Center will have the opportunity to step into the world of dinosaur discovery.

The center has opened its interactive “Dig Site.”  The new addition to the Ecology and Environment gallery lets visitors experience what it is like to be a real paleontologist on an authentic dinosaur dig.

“The dig site offers visitors a rare opportunity,” said Ron Giesler, Director of Earth Sciences.  “It is modeled after an actual dig site, and the fossils are cast from actual fossil’s we’ve found in Montana.  This exhibit ties back to what people learn when they attend our Paleotrek trips."

The “Dig Site” is a free attraction at the center.  Click here for more information.
