With flu cases on the rise, free shots being offered in St. Louis County, city

(KMOV.com) – With the number of flu cases on the rise, the St. Louis County Department of Health is offering free vaccines.

St. Louis County is offering the vaccinations to children 6 months of age and older at three different locations:

North Central Community Health Center
4000 Jennings Station Road in Pine Lawn (63121)
Tuesday, January 14th, 2014
12:00 p.m. (noon) to 4:00 p.m.

John C. Murphy Health Center
6121 North Hanley Road in Berkeley (63134)
Wednesday, January 15th, 2014
12:00 p.m. (noon) to 4:00 p.m.

South County Health Center
4580 South Lindbergh Boulevard in Sunset Hills (63127)
Thursday, January 16th, 2014
12:00 p.m. (noon) to 4:00 p.m.

The city of St. Louis says it also plans on offering two free flu shot clinics in cooperation with Walgreens to uinsured patients and those on Medicare, part B. The exact dates for those clinics have not yet been confirmed.

In addition, the four SSM Urgent Care locations – Brentwood, Maryland Heights, St. Charles and St. Peters – are open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and have influenza vaccine available (cost is $25).
