WEST ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) – St. Louis County Police will hold a safety class for women next week.
The seminar will be held Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Parkway North High School on Fee Fee Road. The session starts at 6:00 p.m. with an informational meeting which is followed by the safety class. Those participating should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.
The seminar comes at a time when police are searching for a man they believe is behind two rapes in northwest St. Louis County.
Police say the latest attack happened on Sep. 9 when an 19-year-old woman was attacked while walking home from a friend’s house. Police say this happened near Bennington Place and Fee Fee Road. DNA evidence from that incident matches evidence from another rape investigation. Police say a man snuck into a 27-year-old woman’s apartment and raped her in April, 2011.
Investigators believe the rapist may be targeting Asian women.
