(KMOV) – The St. Louis County Police Chief wants the FBI to investigate a contract deal involving millions of tax-payer dollars.

Chief Tim Fitch confirmed to News 4 he asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation to dig into a contract for the new crime lab within police headquarters.

The owner of one of the subcontractors is on the St. Louis Police Board and his company is getting $3 million for some of the work done.

That specific board member refused to comment on the investigation.
